SDBA's next monthly meeting, Wednesday, September 20 at Pacific Beach Library, will feature another Rubber Stamp Carving workshop led by Laurel Moorhead. This event is free and open to everyone, but requires participants to bring their own supplies and RSVP directly to The workshop, from 4 to 6 p.m., is limited to 10 students, so RSVP soon to save your space.  A list of required materials and the library location are listed on the Member Event page and Public Event page.

In conjunction with her workshops (which are almost sold out, only one spot left!) book artist Leslie Marsh will offer a free lecture, From Rome to the Adirondack Mountains: How One Thing Leads to Another. Join SDBA at La Jolla Map & Atlas Museum Friday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m.

San Diego Book Arts will hold its next quarterly potluck Sunday, November 19 at Mission Valley Library community room. Save the date for this fun and important function that will recognize volunteers and update members on the progress of the CAP. Click here for more details.

In Case You Missed It . . .

San Diego Book Artists had a great time making paper with Anne Covell recently. Everyone went home with armfuls of creations and new understandings of handmade paper. We learned from one another and had the grand opportunity of christening Anne’s new paper making studio right here in La Mesa.
