In her lecture, Kitty Maryatt, who is also a member of San Diego Book Arts, will talk about the production of a page of the Gutenberg Bible using type cast by the Dale Guild Type Foundry, as well as the practices and technologies that shaped medieval books. Family Paper Day at the International Printing Museum
Saturday, August 2, any time between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Admission: $8 adults, $7 students/children
All ages welcome

Bring yourself and your family for a day of fun studying, making and decoration paper! Three stations will be available for paper study including basic Western papermaking, paste papers and decorative techniques. This educational experience has been organized by museum staff member Rachelle Chuang, who also belongs to San Diego Book Arts. More information is available at www.printmuseum.org.

Erika Torri, Executive Director of the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla, is the juror for the Second National San Diego Book Arts Juried Show. The Athenaeum hosts a juried book arts show every other year, and under Erika’s direction has built a world-class collection of artist’s books.
